Rare Japanese umbrella style lamp shade for a Kasa lamp.  Made in Japan of bamboo and paper with a hand painted floral design.  There is a tear/rip along one of the ribs on the underside, see last photo.

This is a rare find from an estate sale of a WWII service man stationed in Japan after the war.
