We laundered this quilt here: it is clean and odorless. During inspection, we were unable to find holes or rips, or busted seams, or damaged feed sacks; we did notice that some of the original brownish stains that it had before we washed it, although "almost gone" are still very faintly visible on some of the creamy cotton on the border areas, as example on pic # 23 (the white fabric has a deeper tone of cream than in the rest of the quilt).

The backing has two faint stains, but it is otherwise in good shape. The narrow purple cotton binding is in very good condition.

The quilt measures 85" by 65" across and weighs only 3 1/4 lb. unboxed: it is a rather thin, "summer" quilt.

The bed  in the pics is queen, 80" by 60".

The piecing and quilting were done by hand.

The fabrics are feed sacks: the makers had a lot of different scraps in their box when they put this together; several of the prints are of the novelty or juvenile kind; we posted examples. Please be advised those novelty swatches are very scarce in the quilt, maybe 5 of 6 in total.
