This track magnet sensor was removed from a Piko 38226 Locomotive sound tender.
It mounts on the bottom of one of the bogies using two existing screws in the bogie
and wires into the tender sound system. It detects track magnets
attached to the track for the purpose of triggering sound
effects, e.g. Bell, Horn, steam whistle etc.
