The final release in this charming series features the clipper, Cutty Sark, built in 1869 at Dumbarton,
Scotland. The famous Scottish Poet Robbie Burns coined the expression 'cutty sark' in his poem
Tam o' Shanter (1791) referring to a
short nightdress, hence the ships unusual moniker.
The coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.
The coins reverse depicts a
representation of the Cutty Sark in full sail set against a coloured globe map
and the inscription CUTTY SARK.
Only 5,000 of these coins were issued by The Perth Mint
