Vintage French estate Butz Choquin "Capitan 70" series. You'll recognize these by the embedded logo on vulcanite stem. Here, as you can see, BC isn't visible inside the logo, there was probably some sort of a tiny leak and letters got damaged when it was soaked or something. It happens super rarely, but never say never. Red stain smooth finish, only slightly worn of at the rim. Shape in question is an unusual Freehand with Apple bowl, long oval shank and shorter saddle stem. One very clever detail is the chamfer on the bowl, made to place your thumb for maximum pleasure and convenience while smoking. Its length is almost Canadian-like and saddle part is super shallow on stem. Pipe is of course unfiltered.

Do appreciate the amount of work that went into restoring this pipe as close as possible to its original condition. Meticulously cleaned, with fresh coating applied to the chamber for additional protection.
