up for the auction is, 2 Reference Books.

First book is Yasuyuki Namikawa(1845~1927) cloisonne pattern  book.
Tessen Nakahawa (1863~1942) was an exclusive designer of Yasuyuki's cloisonne studio in Kyoto. (Photo no.3)
As you know there were only two cloisonne artists appointed to the Imperial Household Agency in cloisonne field in 1896 Meiji era.
One is Yasuyuki Namikawa from Kyoto, and other is Sousuke Namikawa from Tokyo.
Yasuyuki was good at wire cloisonne, very detailed.
Sousuke was good at wire and wireless cloisonne.
Tessen Nakahara began to work Yasuyuki's studio as cloisonne pattern designer when he was 15 ~16 years old.
He made many wonderful design patterns for wire cloisonne pieces,
such as vase box plaque Jar, etc.
Yasuyuki could not make his masterpieces without his help.
Epilogue by Kenji Nakahara who is Tessen's ground son.
Kenji succeeded over thousand designs pattern from his ground father Tessen.
He selected around 300 designs for his book.
Published in 1981 205 pages, hard cover in cardboard box.
