In 1977, Eric Clapton recorded in the UK for the first time since 461 Ocean Boulevard, releasing his eponymous masterpiece Slow Hand in November. The album reached
No. 2 on the U.S. album charts, earned a 3x platinum disc, and began touring North America in February 1978.
Among them, the concert in Springfield, Massachusetts on April 5 will be recorded and broadcast for the popular American music program
This is a live album based on the sound source used at the time of this broadcast, and it contains a complete recording of the concert, including a medley and encore.
Carl Radle (b), who was with Derek and the Dominos, George Terry (g) and Jamie Alldeaker (ds), who have been working together since the return work "461 Ocean Boulevard", and talented female vocalist Mercy Levy are backing up, so the performance is stable. Clapton's guitar playing is also brilliant.
The first half of the concert featured songs from the new album "Slowhand," while the second half featured covers of blues numbers and hits such as 'Badge,' 'Let It Rain,' and 'Layla'. As
Clapton's best setlist of the season, this is a must-have live album for fans.
