All of these historical documents and autographs that I am listing came out of a 19th century scrapbook that I purchased about 30 years ago. I am finally getting around to removing many of the items which includes numerous historical autographs, and paper ephemera. I have not authenticated any of these but some have information on them which will give you information on age. This auction is for a 1862 certificate of appointment for agents for the Security Fire Insurance Company. Measures about 7 1/2” by 12”. Appointment is for the Thomas Johnston & Company of Baltimore, Maryland. Some crease fold lines and edge tears but generally in good condition.
