Electro-Voice EV 4-Pin Microphone LO-Z Adapter-Converter to XLR-Male Connector
Use XLR Cables on Your Vintage 664 Electro-Voice & Shure 545 Mics!
For sale is a new microphone converter-adapter for vintage Electro-Voice microphones. Now you can use readily available XLR cables on your vintage EV and some Shure 4-pin microphones! Plug the adapter into your vintage mic, tighten the locking ring and you now have a mic that uses XLR cables. This adapter provides connection to the LO-Z output of the microphone. If you want to connect to the HI-Z output of the mic use the Electro-Voice 4-Pin to 1/4 Female Jack Interconnect Adapter or The EV-4-Pin to 1/4 Phone Plug Microphone Cable.
If you later want to convert the mic back to the EV 4-pin cables, simply remove the adapter and the microphone is restored to original condition. This heavy-duty adapter is hand fabricated in my shop in the U.S.A. of all new materials. It should last as long as your vintage mics. It is guaranteed for 30 Days against defects in materials or workmanship. In the unlikely event a defect is found it will be remedied by repair or item replacement. NOTE: The appearance of the adapter may differ somewhat from the photos due to the differences of materials used in the manufacture of the adapter. The adapter is a compact 2-1/2 inches in length and will fit most of the vintage EV 4-pin mics such as the EV 664, 644, 674, 676 (and other EV's with a 4-pin female plug). NOTE: Although this adapter will fit many microphones with a 4-pin connector, it may not operate. It has been designed and tested for the Shure and Electro-Voice model mics that are listed above.
