This Airstream has undergone an extensive retrofit by Gleaming Travel Trailers from the ground up. Every aspect of this trailer is either new or restored.
All exterior panels are new aircraft grade 2024 T-3 Alclad in an unpolished state. 1964 is the last year of the iconic Airstream door within a door design. The door has been reinforced for commercial use, fully reskinned inside and out, as well as featuring a new solid chrome door handle and deadbolt.
The frame has been modified for heavy commercial use and has two new torsion axles with weld on shocks for a smooth stable ride. The frame is also updated with an aluminum weld on step with heavy duty return springs, rated for 440 pounds.
Subfloor is 13 ply zero void marine grade Baltic birch fastened with stainless 3/4 elevator bolts.
New aluminum underbelly of the same exterior grade 2024 T3 Alclad.
Manual/drill powered tongue jack with grease zerk fitting.
New heavy gauge marine trailer brake wiring and emergency brake battery.
Features a cast aluminum plug in 7 pin designed to be easily removable and stored inside out of the elements.
Original rims have been sandblasted and professionally finished in black powder coat with vintage stainless steel moon caps.
All interior wall panels are a new satin anodized with a blend of polished anodized trim. 13 panel aluminum endcaps.
Flooring is by Infinity Luxury Woven Vinyl which is ideal for indoor/outdoor use, heavy commercial traffic areas, with excellent soil+stain resistance, gasoline grease and oil resistant, UV stable, antimicrobial and green certified. Also looks incredible.
Roxul sound deadening insulation.
Electrical is consists of marine grade wiring. 1400 feet of 12 volt wiring, three 110 outlets circuits (14 total outlets) and roof top AC circuit. The trailer consists of 55 lights from the 18 warm dimmable led lights with memory in the ceiling which also can switch to blue, the 6 vending window lights of the same make, the Vintage Trailer Supply stainless reproduction led marker light, pancake taillights, original restored center plate light, four Grote porch lights, 10 perimeter belly under lighting, step light and 4 interior wall sconces.
All this is powered by a stainless marine grade exterior receptacle to an all in one converter/charger with a 100 amp hour AGM battery all built in a custom light gray box with anodized extruded aluminum trim throughout.
The electrical layout of the trailer is designed for many applications. Outlets throughout are laid out in a fashion that would suit anyone's needs. 12 volt water pump set for two locations. A dedicated circuit for a water heater in two locations as well all with dedicated switches.
Custom 8 switch box located at entry for all lights and systems in trailer.
Custom removable bar counter tops with all stainless brackets and cleats with reinforced interior walls to support weight.
The AC is a new 13500 BTU with a custom designed anodized polished aluminum shroud designed to not detract from the exterior aesthetics of the trailer which would otherwise have a white plastic shroud.
Two new 12 volt fantastic fans with polished trim.
