In excellent condition, an antique German Lidded beer stein, made in the early 1900s. The stein has the Villeroy & Boch Mettlach mark on the bottom. It has a scene of men and women dancing around barrels of beer, while a small child is watching. The design is in jasper ware style or raised white over a rusty-orange background. The bulbous shaped stein has a lid having a porcelain center also having a jasper ware design of Mettlach symbol. The lid rim is pewter attached to a hinge with a thumb piece. The stein has a round recessed bottom with the Villeroy & Boch Mettlach stamp. It also has numbers engraved at the bottom, which I believe the “07” means this was made in 1907.  On the top side of the stein the stein is marked ½ L. The stein weighs 1 13 ounces, and is about 6.5 inches tall. The inner rim is a diameter of just under 3 inches.
