The top of the quilt is a combination of materials: wool, velvet, and silk.  Some of the silk squares are embroidered. This may be from the late 1800s early 1900s.

This is all hand sewn!

The silk squares were then reinforced with feedsacks at some point!!!  It is soooooo cool!!
