This is the story of George Armstrong Custer written by his widow, Elizabeth Custer. Binding features tan cloth-covered boards with the gilt sun and mountain design and bugle with music score.

Boots and Saddles was the first of the three books Mrs. Custer wrote to chronicle her life in the West with her husband, General George Armstrong Custer. Tenting On The Plains and Following The Guidon would complete her trilogy of tribute to her beloved husband and American legend, George Armstrong Custer. Subjects include domestic life, Dakota, Cavalry, U.S. Army, Indians, American Indians, Sioux, Fort Lincoln, Black Hills Expedition, and numerous other subjects.

Cover design features a gold bugle with musical notes and a gold sunrise over black mountains. The design is in unusually nice condition as this design is often well rubbed. The covers are securely attached. All pages are very clean and tightly bound with no foxing. A little bit of soil to outside foredge of pages. No writing in book; no previous owner names or bookplates. This book shows gentle wear is in very good condition!
