The Vincent Price Treasury of American Art is a personally chosen collection of 149 outstanding paintings by Americans from the very first colonial achievements in recording themselves for posterity, to the 1970's movements including the resurrection of modern American Indian painting. The splendid, full-color plates in this oversized volume have been expertly checked for color fidelity, and many of the paintings are for the first time published in large, color reproduction. These are supplemented by a hundred monochrome plates.

He is best remembered for his numerous roles in suspense and horror motion pictures of the 1950s through the 1970s, including "House of Usher" (1960), "The Pit and the Pendulum" (1961), and "The Raven" (1963).
