This is the 3x version with tone controls that have a bypass section in the middle of range and they only rotate from 8PM to 4PM on the clock as only the 3x version should.  I've reviewed the assembly instructions step by step to make sure it was built properly (as I do with all kits I sell).  Deviations were: power receptacles have 3 switched and 1 unswitched instead of 2 & 2, Volume pot was replaced with a deluxe version with a tactile "click" as you move it - very smooth and with a knob that is not Dynaco, the audio wiring off the mode selector switch has been upgraded to shielded wiring vs the ground wire wrapped original set up - no hum or hiss on this at all.  I've tested all the inputs and both outputs and deoxidized the switches, tone controls, and balance pots.  The power switch has been replaced at some point during its lifetime.  The 12AX7s are domestic GE short plates that are close to NOS on my BK-667 tester.  The 12X4 is a vintage NOS RCA.

This works and sounds as it should - smooth and warm.
