Anyone who ever had the chance to sit behind the “Bulli” nose to on a holiday trip will confirm that they enjoyed a feeling of freedom. Designed as a camper van, the VW “Bulli” came to be the embodiment of casual leisure fun, a reputation that lasted way into the late seventies. Its owners, who were among the first camping enthusiasts at the time and attracted attention everywhere they went, were considered privileged. In the United States, the “Bulli” was delivered with a double bumper. It enjoyed the same popularity there as everywhere else.
