Flag of Free France from WWII. This flag was used by the French forces who continued to fight the German occupation and features the Cross of Lorraine over the center panel of the traditional French Tri-color. The Free French Forces (Forces françaises libres) were led in exile by Gen. Charles De Gaulle and contributed to Allied war efforts until final victory was achieved against Nazi occupation in Europe and Vichy France.
