The water in the tank enters the filter through the side of the product, passes through the filter media and flows back out clean and oxygenated. The product filtrates, Cultures friendly bacteria which is essential to the nitrogen cycle and provides oxygenation to your tank. The friendly bacteria will thrive on the filter cartridge within the filter and help break down the waste to maintain water quality within your aquarium.
The Filter cartridge is very easy to remove and replace. This should be done every 4 weeks or when you feel the water quality is deteriorating. Aquarium/ water quality test kits can be used to establish this.
Furthermore, it also comes with IPX8 waterproof rating for additional safety.
To engage the water changer feature, simply tap the rotatable outlet tap, pull up and turn to face the outside of the tank. Use a large container or bucket to collect the water or alternatively install the included hose is using a bucket.
