You are bidding on a vintage open face pocket watch marked: ILLINOIS - SANTA FE SPECIAL on a clean white dial with black lettering & hour numbers......Outside second numbers are red lettering.........The watch crystal is heavily pitted from use & age.............The gold fill case is heavily worn from use & age........The Stem, crown, swing ring & outside case edge are worn to base metal......O.D. of case is approx. 2" dia. (16 size)........An engraved smoking locomotive is centered on the rear case (see photo).... The back surface is scratched & scuffed with a small dent at the engineers cab..........NOTE: I cannot remove the back to inspect the works & I don't want to force any damage.........I wound the crown 5 times and the watch continued running for 8 hours.........However, I could not set the time!!
