1934-1984 50th Anniversary Duck Stamp FDC of RW50 1983 PINTAIL DUCKS by PHIL SCHOLER

Cancelled in HONOLULU, HAWAII, AUGUST 21, 1984

This beautiful First Day Cover features a Pintail Duck pair by artist Phil Scholer for the US Federal Duck Stamp issued in 1983. The 20 cent stamp is in VG/F (Very Good/Fine) condition, Scott #2092 "Preserving Wetlands", a reproduction of Jay “Ding” Darling's artwork celebrating the 50th anniversary of the US Duck Stamps. Each cover in this Fleetwood series collection is postmarked in a different US state on the precise anniversary of statehood. Each duck stamp and postmarking state is combined to recall the order in which the state entered the Union and the order in which the duck stamp was issued. This is a great addition to any stamp collection, especially for those interested in ducks and postal history.
