This vintage Minolta 2x APO
II Teleconverter is in mint condition.
The glass is pristine as are
the lens and body mounts. The enamel is equally pristine and this teleconverter
looks new.
This is the upgraded second
version (II) of the teleconverter.
This Minolta white
teleconverter is matched to and should only be used with certain white APO
lenses manufactured by Minolta, namely all of the Minolta AF Telephoto G lenses
such as the 135/2.8 STF, 200/2.8, 300/2.8, 300/2.8, 300/4, 400/4.5, 600/4,
200/4, etc. As stated in the included instruction sheet, “for use exclusively
with focus hold button equipped MAXXUM AF APO lenses”. It is not compatible
with the 80-200mm APO lens however.
Using the teleconverter with
f/4 and smaller max aperture lenses may result in manual focus operation only.
Furthermore, because the
glass surfaces are so flush with the mounts in this design, you cannot use this
teleconverter with other brands of glass. You will hear a crunchy glass
contacting glass sound and then you will hear yourself crying.
Included
with the teleconverter is the grey suede case.

Shipping is through Canada Post’s air and ground parcel service and is generally very reliable. Canadian packages include tracking and $100 CAD insurance.
