DATING TO THE VICTORIAN 19TH CENTURY
FASHIONED OF A SUNSHINE YELLOW SILK WITH A SATIN FINISH.
PUFF SHOULDERS WITH SLEEVES RUCHED ON THE INNER SEAM GIVING A PUFF EFFECT RUNNING DOWN TO THE BOTTOM WITH BELL SHAPED CUFFS.
BAND COLLAR STANDS HIGH WITH TABS OFF THE REAR COLLAR. HOOK AND EYE CLOSURE IN THE CENTER FRONT.
INTERIOR IS LINED IN A LIGHT BLUE COTTON AND IS FULLY BONED.
CONDITION: SOLD AS IT WAS ACQUIRED. THE YOKE WOULD HAVE ORIGINALLY BEEN COVERED IN EITHER A SILK OR A LACE AND NEW FABRIC IS NEEDED TO FINISH.
SMALL SCUFFS OF WEAR ARE SEEN TO THE CUFFS WITH SOME SMALL HOLES SEEN TO EACH REAR SIDE BOTTOM SLEEVE FROM ELBOW TO THE BOTTOM CUFF. NOTE THAT THE RIGHT IS MORE PRONOUNCED. THREE PINHEAD STAINS ARE LOST IN THE FOLDS ON THE FRONT AND HIGH COLLAR SHOWS SMALL TRACES THAT MAY HAVE HAD A LACE COVERING AT ONE TIME.
