Here we have a beautiful hand made, carved wood Pan Fish, out of Minnesota. Circa 1970's. Unknown carver to me. Presenting with painted metal fins, and painted tack eyes. The fish is painted with a dark green across back and upper sides, and mottled abstracted scale detailing in silver, red, green and yellow on sides and on belly. Lots of painted rays in the wooden tail fin. Carved gills accented in silver. 6 3/4" long. The Fish is in very good condition for its age, with only slight shelf wear. An outstanding piece on all fronts. Intact with a fine mellow patina appropriate to its age.
