Zippo Lighter 1992 Sterling Silver Hand Carved Engraved Design Lighter Unfired

Description

*Used item
Until around 1995, sterling silver had a thicker silver plate, and engravers of firearms and other items used to engrave ZIPPO by hand with great precision. The silver is then engraved by hand using a computer engraving machine, and sold on the Internet (at a low price of 50,000 to 60,000 yen). (According to the owner of a store specializing in Zippo lighters, there is no way that a first-rate metal engraver engraves each surface using a chisel at a low price of several tens of thousands of yen, and even today, Zippo lighters designed by metal engravers are sold for several hundred thousand yen (or more than one million yen depending on the item).
I bought this lighter from the previous owner (a collector of Zippo lighters, from whom I have purchased several rare items), who told me that it was a 5-sided engraving by an artist named "IURA". The artist's signature "K.IURA" is not engraved on the chisel, but the hand-engraving by chisel has "clear chisel angles" and gives us a sharp and fearless feeling.
Bottom engraving: STERLING 1992, insert: manufactured in August 1995, never used.
