This started last year and ran, allowing me to strim the whole garden. However, when I tried to restart it on the same day I struggled - would start for 30 seconds and cut out.
I started troubleshooting it, but in taking it apart found the throttle cable was frayed and I didn't want to put it back together without replacing the cable. As such, I ditched the idea of repairing it. Bottom line, if someone were interested in replacing the cable and continuing the troubleshooting it is likely they'd have a working strimmer. Failing that, a heap of spare parts for a Partner T240 strimmer!
