Mint Condition
The Minolta 17-35mm D zoom is
a great lens in its own right and offers unparalleled value in a wide angle
zoom. Minolta thought so highly of it that they offered it as the “kit” lens
for the KM 7D when it was released. It is a perfect lens for both aps-c and
full frame sensor DSLRs and there is nothing else like it short of the Zeiss
16-35/2.8 at $1000 or the Minolta wide zoom G lens. Granted those lenses are in
a different class altogether, but for less than ¼ the price, this lens is no
slouch!
This Sony Alpha mount lens
will require an adapter for use with Sony E mount camera bodies.
This lens (S/N 104329xx) in mint
condition with no appreciable wear. There is no wear to the lens cosmetics
and enamel that I can detect, even under close inspection. The caps look
equally fine.
The glass is absolutely
pristine. It is free of any imperfection including fungus, coating blemishes,
dust or scratches. The aperture blades are oil free and snappy and the 8-pin
contact mount is unmarked. Internal focus (IF) is smooth and quick.
Zoom and focus action are
smooth, and the zoom has a nice, deliberate movement, like a new lens, not
sloppy and loose when rotating.
The lens incorporates ADI
“advanced distance integration” for more accurate flash exposures. It has a
very short MFD of just 12” and wide max. apertures. Add IF for easy polarizer
use and you can see that Minolta really designed a winner at an affordable
price point.
Included is a pinch style Konica Minolta front cap and rear lens caps (the nice ones).
