The Wanderer Works were originally founded in Chemnitz and were important manufacturers of bicycles, motorcycles, cars and office machines. In 1932 the cars division was sold to Auto Union Chemnitz, the racing department was looked after by Ferdinand Porsche from 1934 to 1937, and the Silver Arrows were the Mercedes sports cars' biggest competition. Photos of the company branch in Munich, exhibition of vehicles in Munich, off-road test drives and car races on Kesselbergstrasse are the subject of the estate.
