Description

From European botanical art, to herbal illustrations, Fabre, Minakata Kumagusu... Contains approximately 260 beautiful fungi illustrations drawn from the 18th to 20th centuries!
Illustrations of fungi (mushrooms), drawn mainly by botanists from the 18th to 20th centuries, are not only valuable materials, but also full of charm that can be enjoyed as art.
This book traces the expressions of mushrooms captured by a generation of biologists through representative fungi illustrations from Europe and Japan.
We will also introduce fungal illustrations drawn by natural history giants Henri Fabre and Minakata Kumagusu.
Mushrooms were also called "flowers of the forest" because of their beauty and fragility.
Enjoy the unique and beautiful appearance of fungi.
