Antique French Maid Doll Wood Legs Au Printemps Paris Tag Painted Face
A rare antique French maid doll from the Au Printemps department toy store in Paris, France. The doll has wooden, moveable legs, a burlap body filled with straw, muslin arms, and I believe her head is paper mache. Face is painted in bright make up colors. Her hands are crossed with a small yellow bit of florals. Dress is pink silk with black apron as well as her hat is pink silk with a lace border around her face. She has the original hang tag from Au Printemps. Her hair is a dark auburn.
She measures 14 inches in length. Width is 4 inches. Doll is in as found condition. Silk dress has some small tears on one side. Overall very good condition. See photos.
