1/6 PLATE AMBROTYPE (NOT DAGUERREOTYPE), YOUNG GIRL BY S. BROADBENT, ID'd EMILY WHELEN. This 1/6 plate ambrotype image is of a cute young girl identified as Emily Whelen (daughter of Edward S. Whelen), born in Pennsylvania in 1854. The image was taken by Samuel Broadbent. It is in sharp focus, has light tinting on her cheeks and lips, and is in a full case with a split hinge.
