1909 Gillette and American Button Company 'Basket Weave' Case and the two ring 'Shell' style handle. The teeth are the uncommon rounded type, and they are all straight. The silver plating on this whole set is near immaculate, with the only brass exposed being on the spot where the baseplate and handle meet.

Razor's date code is B210601, dating the set to 1909.

The case hinges and latch are solid. The velvet lining isn't amazing, but it's far from the worst I've seen, so I opted not to re-line it.

As with all my listings, everything has been boiled for sanitary reasons(save the liner) and then polished with a jeweler's cloth.

Someone must have dropped something down into the handle at some point because you can hear something rattling inside when you shake it. It doesn't affect anything, but I couldn't manage to get whatever it is out.

This gorgeous piece is 114 years old and will shave you just as well as the day it was new and will outlive your grandkid's grandkids!
