Tiffany Sterling & Copper Picture Frame
This
copper and sterling Tiffany picture frame is approximately 6 1/4 inches
by 4 7/8 inches. The image opening is about 2 1/2 inches by 4 inches. The frame is mostly a patinaed copper that is mottled,
simulating tortoise shell, with a silver rim around the opening for the
photograph. The back is in surprisingly great condition and is covered
in a hunter green velvet and matching hunter green moire.
The
frame is marked with TIFFANY & Co and an italic "m". There are no
other markings on this frame. The silver appears to be unmarked.
The
overall condition is excellent vintage condition with only minor age
appropriate wear. I assume that if the mottled finish is not liked by
the new owner, it can be stripped and polished to shiny bright copper.
