Antique Canary Glass "STAR & PUNTY" Flint Glass Spooner or Spillholder, The Boston and Sandwich Glass Co., c. 1840 - 1870. This beautiful spoon holder is a very rare piece of flint canary or vaseline glass that was manufactured more then 150 years ago. This pattern was manufactured by the Sandwich Glass company and it is listed in Barlow's book onPressed Glass, plate #1188. This is the version that was manufactured without a foot. This spooner is a beautiful deep beautiful canary glass color and it is in very good condition! This also has a strong amount of uranium in the glass, that was used to give the glass this yellow color! I offer this canary glass spooner with no reserve and a "Buy It Now". SIZE: This rare canary glass spooner is 3 1/2" H. x 3 3/16" Dia. at the top and 2 7/8" Dia. at the base. CONDITION: The condition is very good with some tiny nicks around the inside top rim and some wear to the inside base of the bowl. There are also straw marks, bubbles, sand and other imperfections in the glass typical of glassware from this very early period.
