This is a bolt-on neck BB manufactured in the early 80's.
The BB Bass series was produced in the late 1970s as a precision bass sound-oriented instrument that was released in the late 1970s, with the aim of separating it from the consistent Jazz Bass image of the SB series. Production of the SB base ceased in 1982, and the BB series was replaced by YAMAHA's representative product, carving out a new history.
This model BB-VI was released from 1980 to 1985. Around this time, the lineup expanded, and the BB series was introduced from entry models to professional use models. I feel that one of the things that makes YAMAHA so well-received both in Japan and around the world is that they are kind and open to people who are interested in all kinds of music.
