1st Edition 1926. In 1926, Vita Sackville-West travelled to Persia to visit her husband, Harold Nicolson, at the British Legation, going via Egypt, India and Iraq, and returning later that year through Russia and Poland. Very uncommon. Illustrated with plates.


This book was given as a gift from Vita Sackville-West’s mother Lady Victoria Sackville-West (living at Knole House in Sevenoaks) to her neighbour Mrs Rogers of Riverhill House Sevenoaks and comes with a little note (see pictures).
