Antique French Sevres or Old Paris Porcelain Hand Painted Scenic Harbor & Fishing Trembleuse Covered Chocolate Cup & Saucer
A lovely hand painted antique French porcelain covered cup and saucer with lid. Hand painted with several unique harbor and fishing scenes in oval or circular panels with a small circular dot pattern on a background of green. Lavish use of gold gilt and a green geometric border encircle the scene on the saucer. Finial on lid is a gilded and molded leaf with nut.
Saucer measures 5.5 inch diameter. Height is 1.25 inch.
Cup alone is 3 inches height. Width across the top is also 3 inches. With the lid on the cup is 4.25 inch to top of the finial.
Cup and saucer are both marked with a hand painted Sevres or Sevres style mark with an additional D below.
Condition overall is very good. It does have gold loss on rim of cup and a tiny nick on one of the leaves on lid finial. A small firing flaw on base of cup. No repair or restoration. See photos. It is a beautifully and superbly hand painted set!
