SUNDAY THIRD PAGE COMIC STRIPS

The MOON MULLINS comic strip was in print from  

June 19, 1923 to June 2, 1991.  It was created and originally drawn

 and written by Frank Willard.  Upon Willard’s death in 1958, his longtime 

assistant, Ferd Johnson, took over the strip and remained with it until

 the conclusion. The strip ended when Johnson retired in 1991.
