Gorgeous and collectible wall plate by the Australian artist Viola Edith (Brownie) Downing, born in Manly, Sydney, 1924. 

She developed an interest in Aboriginal culture from her father and achieved great success decorating ceramic items such as these wall plates with these endearing children illustrations.

This is a rarer style featuring a little boy dressed as a cowboy.
