Old and very rare Platinum Regent fountain pen, with an interesting and curious manufacturing history: produced in 1989 in West Germany, under the supervision of the Japanese Platinum, by Senator Pen - owner of Diplomat pens, in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Platinum Pen, and was part of the "piston filling" series!

"F" steel nib, gold-plated, very soft, with slight flexibility, which allows you to vary the strokes: fine and thicker.

The two texts written (portuguese) in the second photo give us a perfect example of the pen's versatility: the one below, an artistic English cursive calligraphy (Copperplate), and the one above, a traditional everyday cursive script!

In both sections we used our Distinta brand fountain pen ink (8 colors: non-cracking, quick-drying, non-staining, excellent fluidity, non-fading, excellent adhesion to the paper).

The name and the "PLATINUM" logo are inlaid in low relief on the clip and nib, both also gold-plated!

Due to the high quality of the resin applied in the construction of the pen, the body and cap do not have any stains or traces that could detract from the product!

It's been more than 30 years, and the NOS pen still looks "Brand New"!

Detail: the pen still retains the original sales seal to Japanese consumers: ¥5,000 - five thousand yen (a certain equivalent to 50 dollars, in 1988!)
