Vivienne Westwood Cambridge Satchel Company 14 inch Satchel bag.

This beautiful satchel is from the second collaboration between Vivienne Westwood and the Cambridge satchel company, designed and manufactured for the Autumn/ Winter collection in 2015.

The satchels were an exclusive limited edition in three colour designs for that season, this black / jet green colour way being one of them.

This is the classic 14 inch satchel and is customised with the iconic squiggle print that has adorned many of VW creations since it was first used in her 1981 pirate design. The print is screen printed directly on to the satchel by the British printer who has produced the classic VW Pirate boots and features the same leather straps and buckles used on the Pirate boots.

The satchel has never been used, hanging in my bag cupboard simply as a collectible piece. It is in excellent condition considering I’ve owned this for the past nine years.

I have listed the bag as new with defects to be transparent, the reason being that the natural leather strap and accents are not as pristine as when bought. Natural leather by virtue of the aging process develops blemishes and stains very easily. This is a result of being exposed to any elements including heat, natural oils from handling etc.

Although the satchel has been stored in a cool, darkened bag/coat cupboard it has been exposed to handling over the years I have had it.

With further use the patina will continue to develop, the leather darkening over time to a darker honey colour. This is not avoidable and will simply occur as a result of the leather being natural untreated leather.

The original dust bag is included.
