1971 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date “Gold Egg” ref. 1550 measuring 34mm.

The case is coated a 20 micron thick 14ct gold shell which is soldered and bonded. Rolex chose to do this to create a gold watch without the price tag associated with one made entirely from precious metals.

The movement is original and has just undergone a tull service by a Rolex Specialist in February 2024 and as such the watch is working perfectly.
