This lot contains a New York Watch Co., 18 Size (EARLY HAMPDEN) Key Wind pocket watch Movement. This movement has fancy blued spade hands, genuine factory single sunk signed pinned enamel dial with damage on the sub seconds bit. The watch has a clean “CHAS. HAYWARD” early Springfield MA new York Watch Co. early Hampden full plate gilt pocket watch key wind and set movement. The movement does wind, set and tick with brisk motion. The movement is at least 11 jewels. The movement number is 40325. This movement will be sold as I have found it in the watchmaker’s inventoried movement cabinet. I will NOT guarantee the running of the movement since it has been stored away for so many years. This is an uncommon and very early New York Watch Co. movement for the serious early new York Watch Co. and Hampden collector, dealer and repair person.
