Lot includes three RARE items: a Bassett-Lowke 112 0 ga. clockwork tank engine, a Carette 0 ga. Anglo-American tank car and an Issamayer whistle-stop station.

The Bassett-Lowke 112, so-numbered after Bassett-Lowke's address number on High Holborn in London, appears to have been originally green, then factory-overpainted in brown-red, then extensively touched up after it flaked as overpaints tend to do. Photos with yellow arrows show many, but not all, touch-up spots. The left cylinder had been sloppily resoldered. (Also see photo). This clockwork engine does not run very far or pull much, so clockwork will need servicing which is why I'm letting it go.

The seldom-seen pre-1914 Carette Anglo-American tank has oxi, paint loss and is missing a brace on one end. The equally-rare country station made by J.A. Issamayer of Nuremberg in the 1910s, measures 10"x4"x9" high (to top of signal). I'm not sure if the signal is correct as these are so interchangeable among accessories and makes. It is missing a tin litho tree that pins near the ramp of the platform. Platform and fence missing a lot of paint. Wrinkle in metal at one end. Some flaking on the signal. Roof (which is never centered on these things) is bent at a couple corners. The door is clipped in and my fall off if you hold the building upside down, but the clips look correct. "Station" label is 50% detached with no guarantee that it will stay attached during shipment.
