Please study all photos to make up your own mind. The item came from my brother's sheds which I cleared last year. I am sorting through, getting advice, and listing some bits. My brother has beginings of demmetia so I didn't ask him what things are, I just cleared everything he wanted gone. 

VINTAGE, AIR VARIABLE CAPACITOR WITH INDUCTOR 

I am told this is good quality. I am also told it is from a WW2 RADIO, ARC-5 Series.

I have no personal experience of radio components, so I am only repeating what I've been told. Please study photos.
