A Pashley Roadster Sovereign Gents bicycle, in Buckingham Black.

This is a 22.5 inch frame size bike on 28 inch wheels, that’s pretty much as new. It comes with Sturmey Archer 5 gears (indexed) and Sturmey Archer hub brakes (much more effective in bad weather than rim brakes and, I’m told, longer lasting).

I bought it brand new during lockdown for family rides, but aside from about 20 miles of sunny riding, it’s been indoors the entire time.

I bought it from my local Halfords store where it was the last one in stock. It is in the same condition as when I collected it from them. There are a few tiny scratches, probably from being on display, and when I have stored it.

We have since moved and the local roads are far busier, which, coupled with never quite getting used to the sit up and beg position, means it, isn’t likely to be used again.

The tyres still look new and both lights work - front dynamo and rear carrier LED. The seat is a Brooks B33 in immaculate condition - the springs are not just for show, they’re very effective.

It comes with everything it should including an unused pump and both keys for the integral rear wheel lock (the label is still attached to them). It even has the protective film still on the badge on the head tube. Both can be seen in the photos. The coat guards over the rear wheel are immaculate.

I don’t think I got an owner’s manual with it; I expect that’s still in Halfords somewhere. I’m including a set of genuine Pashley ergonomic cork grips & fitting instructions, that I bought from Pashley, but never fitted.

It could do with the gears being indexed, since the cable has relaxed.

These are hand built in England, and new they are now nearly £1000, so this is your chance to grab a bargain and release your inner “Father Brown”!
