All of these historical documents and autograhs that I am listing came out of a 19th century scrapbook that I purchased about 30 years ago. I am finally getting around to removing many of the items which includes numerous historical autographs, and paper ephemera. I have not authenticated any of these but some have information on them which will give you information on age. This auction is for an 19th century luncheon invitation from Alert Hose Company of Plainfield New Jersey held at Laing’s Hotel on February 22. It is make out to Nathan Harper a 19th century Mayor of Plainfield. I’m dating this a circa 1879 since that is the date that the Alert Hose co was created. Meaures 4 1/2” by 3 1/2”. In good condition.
