The USS Sulaco, carrying the survivors from the failed rescue mission to LV-426 is returning to Earth, when a fire breaks out aboard the spacecraft. Unable to contain the fire, the automated systems of the Sulaco eject all the cryogenic capsules into an escape pod and jettison the pod into outer space. The escape pod crash-lands on the prison planet Fiorina 161, home to a maximum-security penal colony populated by male life-sentence prisoners, all of whom are multiple murderers and rapists. Unfortunately, Newt and Hicks do not survive the crash, but an alien stowaway does. As the Xenomorph matures and begins killing off the prisoners, without weapons or modern technology of any kind, Ripley must lead the men into battle against the terrifying creature...
