The Favre Leuba Deep Blue 59863 is a vintage very rare beauty from the 1960s with an extraordinary and colourful dial and bezel design. This model was introduced in 1964!

There were two variants of this watch, one for 200m(20ATU) and the other for 500m(50ATU). This one is the 500m(50ATU) Super Water Resistant model and it's far more rare than the 200m version!

Favre-Leuba has a long history that started in 1737. The brand is known for its precise timepieces, which were developed for researchers, scientists and athletes.

It has a rotating bakelite bezel, which is also known as the 'Roulette' bezel thanks to its black and white pattern and red numbers. The bezel is in amazing condition, it's hard to find one like this!

The base color of the dial is a beautiful ocean blue, which is perfectly preserved. The hands and hour markers contain beautifully aged tritium lume. The tritium is original on the dial and the hands and it was never restored.

This Favre Leuba Deep Blue is powered by the in-house self-winding movement. The automatic caliber FL1153 is very clean and it's working excellent, it was serviced in 06.2023, you can see the performance in the picture.

The big winding crown is original. The screwed case back has sharp engravings that indicate an unpolished case. Date changes by changing 21-03h.

The size of the watch is 40x42mm which was oversized for that time. It comes on a new blue tropic style band.

This model is one of the rarest divers from the seventies, any collector should have one, it's a GRAIL watch!

General terms and conditions:

*I describe my watches with honesty and the best of my knowledge, I want all my buyers to have a smooth, transparent and pleasant transaction. If you have questions or other requests, please ask me before you buy. I don’t accept returns, partial refunds or buyer's remorse, so, if you are not sure you want to buy one of my watches, please don’t do it.

**You are buying a vintage watch, you can’t expect to look as new unless is stated in the description. Pictures are part of the description, please study them carefully! Generally speaking, the watches are looking much better in real life than in the pictures because of the camera lens which pops out details that can’t be seen with the naked eye. If it’s something misrepresented by me, just send me a message, I will really appreciate your contribution. Vintage watches are not water protected, I don’t offer any guarantee about this. Vintage mechanical watches are not running like a Quartz, please do not expect to be perfect even if they are serviced and very well taken care of. The performance on the timegrapher must not be taken as a guarantee for future functionality. Although I pack my watches very carefully, issues may appear during shipping on long distances, the most common is the watch magnetisation, but, being sensitive and complex movements, in rare occasions other adjustments should be made by an experienced watchmaker. I am not responsible of ANY customs/import taxes.

***Please refrain from making ridiculous and uneducated offers. Check the market prices first. I am a deal maker, but only with serious people.
