The seeds travel wrapped in moist coconut fiber inside a ziplock plastic bag to retain moisture. In this state the seeds continue to grow throughout the journey, ready to be planted in pot as soon as they arrive at your home. Do not expose to direct sunlight for the first two years

Washingtonia Robusta
Skyduster  -  Mexican Cotton Palm

Tollerates Frost
Hardy (- 8° C/17°F)

The Mexican palm (Washingtonia robusta) is a palm native to northwestern Mexico.
It is used as an ornamental tree, grows very quickly, tolerates frost and reaches a height of over 30 meters (100 feet) - a true giant.
These days, with Washingtonia grown on every corner, many suspect a good amount of hybridization between the two species. This type is however guaranteed to be pure, as it is of wild origin, from the Sonoran Desert in Mexico.
