This beautiful trinket box is a unique piece of art that will add charm to any collection. Made of papier mache with a hand-painted brown background and a landscape design with what I believe is cherry blossom , this round box has a lid and measures 2.5 inches in height and 3 inches in width and length. The box features an Oriental pattern and style, with a nature theme.

This antique box is believed to be from the Victorian era between 1837 and 1900, although the year of manufacture is unknown. It is small in size, making it a perfect container for your tiny treasures. The box is in good condition considering the fragile nature of papier mache ,with two areas of damage on the lid ,one inside and one out .please look carefully at my detailed photos and happy to give more photos if needed..

It was handmade, possibly in Japan, and the country/region of manufacture is unknown.
